This week we are going to look into the key areas we all need to be attending to so that we look after our health and wellbeing as much as possible.
Skin health tips
From dull to glowing skin
- Eat a variety of foods
- Keep physically active
- Keep hydrated
- Don’t smoke
- Wear sun protection
- Get good sleep

When we don’t consume enough foods rich in nutrients our body can become deficient in vitamins and minerals. This can have an effect on our brain, energy and mood function

Do you find that stress is affecting you physically, mentally and emotionally?
Don’t worry help is at hand and there are many ways to help you cope.
Give stress the boot with these tips:
-Have a can-do attitude
-Connect with your friends and family
-Making time for yourself
-Try learning a new skill and challenge yourself
-Don’t look for solutions in alcohol, smoking or caffeine

An eating disorder occurs when we have an unhealthy attitude towards food, when it takes over our life and makes us unwell.
It can be when we eat too much or too little or when we are obsessed with our body shape and weight.

Body image is the thoughts and feelings we have relating to ourselves, on how we see ourselves and we think how others see us.

The advice on alcohol for children and young people is not to consume it before the age of 18.
Drinking alcohol during teenage years is associated with a range of health and social problems.
However, if those under 18 do drink it shouldn’t be until they are 15 years old.
Alcohol consumption in young people can affect the development of organs and functions such as the liver, brain, bones and hormones.
Drinking before the age of 14 is linked with higher health risks such as alcohol related injuries and violent activities.
Beginning to drink at an early age is linked with risky behaviour, including taking drugs, pregnancy and employment issues.
