Support Hounslow Community FoodBox this winter with BetterPoints
Local charity Hounslow Community FoodBox provide emergency food, support and advice to people living in the London Borough of Hounslow.
In the run up to Christmas and over the Winter BetterPoints are running a giving campaign to support their work and the families who need their help in Hounslow.
There are many ways you can help them support families local to you.
Donate through local supermarkets
The following supermarkets have collection points where you can leave food items you would like to donate to Hounslow Community Foodbox:
ASDA – Hounslow
Co-op – Boston Manor Road, Brentford
Morrisons – Brentford
Sainsbury’s Local – Isleworth
When you donate any food items at the locations given above press the play button ▶️ in the top right hand corner of the BetterPoints app. Select the ‘Hounslow FoodBox Donation’ activity type, and for every activity recorded BetterPoints will donate 50 BetterPoints to Hounslow Foodbox.
Hounslow Community FoodBox have a shopping list of most needed items which is updated every month and this can be found on their Donate food and toiletries page
Pay a visit in person
If you walk or cycle to the Rose Community Centre, Hawthorn Road, Brentford yourself in person you will earn 50 points for yourself.
Whilst you are there press play ▶️ in the top right hand corner of the BetterPoints app. Select the Hounslow FoodBox Donation activity type and for every activity recorded BetterPoints will donate 50 BetterPoints to Hounslow Community FoodBox.
Hounslow Community FoodBox are open to receive donations from Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 1pm, and Saturday from 10am to 12pm.
Donate some of your BetterPoints
If you are unable to donate in person, or at the supermarket collection points then you can tap on the donate tab in your BetterPoints app, search for them and give them a gift of BetterPoints this winter. Remember 1,000 BetterPoints is worth £1.
Anything you that can offer will be gratefully receive to help those most in need this winter.
