Kebabs are popular in Asian and African cuisine, with variations in ingredients and cooking methods. They can be enjoyed on their own as a snack, or as part of a main meal with various breads/ rice – complimented with a salad. This is a very easy and simple recipe, using a healthier cooking method of making the kebabs in the oven, you don’t even need skewers.
Ingredients – Serves 4
400g lamb mince
1 small egg
5 cloves garlic crushed
2tsp ginger grated
½ teaspoon garam masala
½ teaspoon
½ cumin powder
½ coriander powder
Salt & pepper to taste
1 tbs olive oil
Method
Combine all the ingredients, except oil, in a bowl.
With wet hands press the mixture into egg shapes and place on baking tray
Brush each kebab with oil
Place tray with kebabs in oven and cook on 200c/gas 7 for 20 minutes or until cooked.
