Crumble recipe

Pear and Raspberry crumble recipe

A mouth watering recipe using fresh fruits and dates (dried fruit) to give natural sweetness. This recipe contains no added sugar and is a great dessert/pudding. A lovely family friendly recipe that involves minimal cooking.

Ingredients

6-8 pears peeled, cored and sliced
¼ cup water
1 tsp cinnamon
1 punnet of raspberries
1 cup of dates chopped
2 cups of oats
2 tbsp rapeseed oil
Handful of flaked almonds

Method

  1. Pre heat oven 180 degrees celsius gas mark 4. In a large pan add the pears, raspberries, cinnamon, dates and ¼ cup of water and allow fruits to soften on a low heat.  Gently mix until juices are released.
  2. For the crumble topping, mix the oats with rapeseed oil.
  3. Place the fruit mixture in a flan dish, top with crumble until fruit filling is covered and sprinkle with flaked almonds.
  4. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and serve with natural yoghurt or custard.
