Avocado toast with tomato
Eating a good breakfast can give you a healthy start to the day, it keeps you fuller for longer and we are less likely to snack on the wrong foods if we don’t skip breakfast. Incorporating a nourishing breakfast packed with protein, carbohydrates, dairy, fruit and vegetables will give you the energy you need.
This breakfast recipe is so quick and easy. Avocado is full of monounsaturated fats and packed with essential nutrients and wholemeal bread is packed with fibre to keep us fuller for longer. Breakfast not only gives us energy but improves our mental performance and concentration.
2 slices of wholemeal toast
1 avocado
Handful of cherry tomatoes sliced
½ lime
1 tsp olive oil
Sprinkle of sea salt
1 tsp Philadelphia or soft cheese spread
Toast the bread, spread the Philadelphia, mash the avocados and spread it on the toast. Top the avocado toast with tomatoes, squeeze of lime, sprinkle of sea salt and a drizzle of olive oil.
Add scrambled eggs and smoked salmon for some extra protein
