Peanut Butter Banana Bars

If you have a sweet tooth then this recipe is certainly a healthy bake, great for kids as a snack or breakfast and uses simple ingredients. This recipe contains no added sugar as the chocolate is optional.

Ingredients
3 cups of oats
4 ripe bananas
6 tbs of peanut butter

Dark chocolate chips – optional

Method
Pre heat oven to 180 degrees celsius, gas mark 4. In a bowl mash the bananas, followed by oats and peanut butter and mix until combined. Add more peanut butter if mixture is dry.

Layer the mixture onto a greased baking tray/dish until flattened, top with dark chocolate chips-optional. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until golden. Allow to cool and cut into squares

Optional – add nuts/dates/seeds
